Bank Privatisation will start Soon as The finance ministry is expected to soon seek cabinet approval for amendments to the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 to privatise two public sector banks . The proposed changes will include the removal of the 20% foreign investment cap to public sector banks for both banks .
It is expected that a more attractive voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) for employees of two banks to be privatise will be approved by government .
